Laura May Toronto Photographer

The interaction between you two, the way you hold each other’s hands, the tender kisses you exchange-that’s what it’s about for me.

Hi, I’m Laura. I am a Toronto area storyteller, a lover of love and a memory maker. I thrive when I am creating images of the human connection. In my spare time, I am camping, practicing yoga, drinking a freshly pressed cup of coffee, sipping a new wine or trying a new restaurant with my better half.

I specialize in wedding photography and lifestyle portraiture. I love capturing genuine and fleeting moments that tell your story. Overgrown fields, fallen trees and sunsets inspire me. I will document your laughter, experience spontaneous adventures with you and most of all, have you turn from client to friend. Quiet lakes, serene docks, evenings at dusk and mornings at sunrise make me happy and I live for the in between moments, they are where the storytelling lives. I can’t wait to tell your story.

I feel the most at home by the lake, in the forest, just after the rain. The smell of the earth and the cool breeze make me feel alive. Let’s go explore at sunrise, I’ll bring the coffee.
The images I make for you of these moments will reflect the authenticity of your relationship. My intention is that you will look at these photos with your children one day and they will bring you right back to these moments, remind you how you felt, how it smelled and who you were at that point in your lives.

When it comes to weddings, I like to work with what is real. Rain on your wedding day? Let’s get outside. Have rainboots, umbrellas and a free spirit and we will create magic together. Snowstorm? Let’s go play in it! Have fun with the weather, it is what your day looked and felt like after all and that is what is most important.

It is vital for to me to get to know you on a deeper level. At your engagement session, I take my time to learn what your connection looks like so I can better capture your wedding day. I book a limited number of weddings each year in an effort to offer my couples everything I can as an artist. I will give you suggestions and help to guide you through the planning process. I love to be a part of the planning of your big day. It’s easier to tell the story of your day when I can anticipate the specifics of the day. Let’s create something beautiful together.
